A pine cone for each morning walk....

Morning walk is meditative.
I try to sit, but strangely walking works better for me.
Add a camera on my shoulder and I am sorted.

I don't have the cool Bangalore morning air on my face or the fragrance of Akash Mallige trailing behind me but strangely the beauty of nature reveals itself in various forms...

It's been steadily getting colder but I can't seem to let go of my habit of morning walks.
The path is winding.
The trees are bare.
Between the whizz of cars, I hear gentle rustling.
Rustling of leaves.
Rustling of dry leaves, still stuck to the tree.
Few trees here are yet to let go of their leaves.

An old habit and a new one.
With every walk I pick up one tiny pine cone out of the many strewn under the trees.
I have a couple now:-)

Life is beautiful. We just need to open our eyes to see it.

I remind myself everyday:-)

Yes. I agree. This is the realisation I have had recently as well. And there is a lot of beauty when we choose to finally see it. This post is as graceful and beautiful as you are.

Beautiful post, Archana, as always. BTW, the pine cones make for great decor. (and if you paint them gold, they make great Christmas tree ornaments) Cheers:)

Beautiful pics of the so called ordinary. I heard there was tons of snow in Minneapolis this past weekend. Hope you are staying warm. We are yet to get some white fluff this Dec.

Archana,

I experience the same.. the one thing that truly makes me happy I have realized is nature. If we slow down and take the time to enjoy the nature around us, we will realize that life is so beautiful and we truly have so much to be thankful for! Hope you enjoy the first snow this holiday season!!

It's kind of funny, because i said this to someone just a while ago. Life is indeed beautiful. And you sure know how to capture that beauty.
