Mylapore Shopping.

If you really want to get the feel of cultural Chennai, head straight to Mylapore. Kapaleeshwar Temple is the main attraction of the place. The street leading to the temple has tiny shops selling brass puja items, dance costume jewelry, sarees etc.

This Dusshera, the streets wore a festive look with colourful idols for 'Golu' displayed along the footpath. The sight of vendors selling jasmine flowers, exotic spices, vegetables, plastic baskets, garlands...was amazing.
