A lot has happened between the last time I shared my little travel stories from Kutch, Gujarat to this day.
We have moved to Minnesota from Bangalore.
Our whole home is right now bubble-wrapped and boxed into a 40 feet container, probably sailing through an ocean, to be reunited with us in two months time.
Carrying 6 suitcases we entered our new house in a new country to make it our home.
An empty home with few pieces of rental furniture, borrowed vessels of 2 pans, 3 forks, 3 plates & two tea mugs we started our new journey few days back.
We are acquainting ourselves with our neighborhood flora and fauna.
Learning the names of the trees.
Learning that the squirrels here are larger with a fluffier tail.
Learning that having a rabbit hop around in your backyard is common sight.
Learning that DIY is a way of life.
Learning that smiles are plenty.
Learning that church bells in the evening fill me up with serenity.
In the last five days I have come to realize that life is much simpler.
Easier.
Happier.
Learning that all you have is all you need.

Hey Archana,
First thing I saw of Facebook, the new cover photo. And I was again in awe. The cover photo is so beautiful.. what flower is that?
And yes, it feels good to hear the "rang": your life is simple and yet colorful. All the best for the new home in new land..
P.S: The last sentence "Learning that all you have is all you need." is indeed motivating.. I had to jot it down in my scribbling book and on my workstation. Wishing a happy yet colourful week from your land of colours.. from your old Bangalore.

Every change is a door to learn and grow. You are stepping through that door now - and am glad that you are soaking in the newness of it and i loved what you ended the post with - exactly what i felt when i came back from 9-months-of-living-out-of-a-suitcase in Kolkata.
Such a lovely write up Archana...Goodluck!

Hi Archana

Hi,
"Learning that all you have is all you need", love your photography and love your attitude!
You reminded me of old memories.... landed here in 2003 with 4 suitcases and my family (two small kids and hubby), came into an almost empty apartment, started life from scratch...slowly built up everything..thats how life is....all you have is all you need :)
I wish you and family settle down well and enjoy it here....welcome to US !!
Loved this post. The U.S. is very quiet after the noise in India. What we don't realise is that in this country we are used to much much higher decibel levels. I could hear the quietness in your words and in your pictures. Thank you for that.
