Amy Ruppel.

Just discovered this amazing artist, photographer, designer Amy Ruppel through decor8 ( April Archives ). Her subject is usually simple images of birds & nests.

She uses beeswax layered under & over digital prints on paper derived from her photography, then cuts into rounded shapes and then completes with drawings etched into the wax. Lovely!

Ganesha basking in the morning sunlight.

Was having my morning cuppa in the balcony. The sunlight streaming in on the stone Ganesha Idol and forming these shadows had to be captured and posted. We picked up this stone Ganesha from a roadside shop in front of the Chennakeshava Temple in Belur.

My Attempt at Jewelry-making.

I have long been nurturing a secret passion for designing jewelry. Wasn't sure when or where I would diplay it. I just string together glass beads, metal pendants of Indian Gods/Symbols and create interesting neck pieces which I wear for my own pleasure and creative satisfaction.

I got inspired by young designer Ana Romero & through her blog designer Ronit Golan. Now I am posting some of the stuff I have made.

Colours in patchwork & ragcloth mats.
