Well, in India we don't celebrate Halloween. I picked up a cute little pumpkin today and just thought I'll give carving a try. Not a bad 'Jack-O-Lantern'.Happy Halloween !

On our last trip to Chennai we had visited the shore temple at Mahabalipuram. There were few souvenir shops selling carved wooden Ganeshas. I must say these Ganesha's knew exactly how to beat the heat.

It's been a while since I posted on my blog. Things have been kind of hectic. I am working on a new project which involves things that I and my husband are passionate about. Will be sharing with all of you soon.
The group monuments at Hampi are listed as Unesco's World Heritage Site. Hampi is an experience. I just love the ancient dravidian architecture.
As I move into another year of my life, I look back quite contented. There have been trials and tribulations, there have been the lows as well as moments of great joy.
I started blogging in July 2006. It started of as a creative journal of sorts and now it's become an integral part of my life. It's a great medium for sharing and learning new things. Thanks everyone for coming and sharing my colours of life.
I came across these lovely terracotta containers by Kumbham Contemporary Terracotta Products at the Folk Mela.

Continuing with the Diwali Festivities, a Folk Mela organised by Kala Madhyam is on at Chitrakala Parishad.

Yes, it's that time of the year. Diwali-the festival of lights is just around the corner. There is excitement everywhere. The homes being spruced up, people out shopping till they drop, sweet shops doing brisk business. I just love it!

If you really want to get the feel of cultural Chennai, head straight to Mylapore. Kapaleeshwar Temple is the main attraction of the place. The street leading to the temple has tiny shops selling brass puja items, dance costume jewelry, sarees etc.

Another post about Chennai! Well, I have been so excited to share the amazing things I discovered in Chennai. This is my 3rd post in a day!
